Vandals Cut Fence And Destroy Runway Light
Vandals cut through a fence in order to gain access to a runway at the Lawrenceburg/Lawrence County Airport.
Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department over the weekend indicate that vandals cut through a woven wire fence with one strand of barbed wire, in order to trespass on airport property.
Airport employee Ron Povlock reported that once inside the fence, the vandals destroyed a lens on a runway warning light, resulting in some $75 worth of damages, and posing a hazard to any landing planes.
